The Economic & Social Research Council, Doctoral Training Centre — The Doctoral Training Centre is dedicated to enhancing the experience and development of ESRC-funded doctoral students across Oxford. The centre has funded this conference under the aegis of an interdisciplinary grant to encourage social science graduates to work with people outside of their own disciplines. This funding has been applied to sponsor the free attendance of the first 25 graduate students to register for the conference.
The Oxford Centre for Life-Writing at Wolfson College — The Oxford Centre for Life-Writing (OCLW) at Wolfson College encourages those who write biography and memoir and those who undertake research on existent life-narratives. The OCLW has kindly hosted this conference at Wolfson College.
The Leverhulme Trust — Support from the Leverhulme Trust is from a Philip Leverhulme Prize awarded to Dr. Philip Ross Bullock for his work in Modern Languages.
